How does your donation help refugee children in Malaysia?
Around the world, IGM works to provide safety for children, as well as giving kids a place to be themselves. Refugee children are some of the most vulnerable people IGM serves, but they are also some of most resilient. Violance, abuse, neglect, and poor access to proper facilities often prevent children from accessing proper care and education. However, keeping their dreams big and wild, refugee children study and play hard despite enormous hardship they face.
IGM works with partners in Malaysia to ensure that more children are given the education, safe spaces, and resources they need to have childhoods free from fear- but we can’t do it without your help.
IT COULD BE ANY ONE OF US
Take a moment to imagine it. You wake up in the middle of the night to the sound of shouts and gunfire. The tensions you’ve tried not to worry about have tipped over into violence.
Now you have no choice: you take your family, and anything you can carry, and flee for safety.
Every two seconds, somewhere on the planet, someone is forced to flee.
Yet too often the world views their plight with indifference, or even hostility.
If we were in their shoes, how would we want to be treated? If we ended up in a refugee camp, far from home and everything we’d once known, what kind of welcome would we hope to find? What hopes for the future would we still cling to for our children?
With your help, IGM can give refugees what we’d want for ourselves and our loved ones. Shelter. Food. Water. Blankets. Medical supplies. Protection from harm. The chance to go to school and the hope of a future.
But we can’t do it without the support of people like you.
Please give what you can to help refugee families.
